Palm Beach in Paros, also known as Agia Irini, took its name from what else, palms. You will find quite few of them on Palm Beach. This place is situated on the west coast of Paros Island, about 7,5 kilometeres away from Parikia. Distance from Naoussa is little bit higher, about 16 kilometers.
Like we mentioned before, the original name of Palm Beach in Paros is Agia Irini (Saint Irini). That is because of the small chapel which can be found on the north tip of the beach. This chapel is called Agia Irini.
The beach
Palm Beach in Paros consists of sand and it is organized. Therefore, you will find sunbeds and umbrellas here. There is a tavern as well. Enjoying lunch or dinner here is amazing. As you enjoy the fresh seafood, you are accompanied by the sound of waves. That is due to the fact that, the tavern is next to the sea. What characterises Palm Beach are of course the palms and that it is narrow; at least a part of it. There is a small wall along the beach. However behind it, you will find sunbeds. As you walk along the beach and the short wall, you will find an opening with sand.
On Palm Beach you will find a public parking. However, due to the fact that it is quite popular, be prepare to find it occupied. Therefore, it is a good idea to get there early.
Reaching Palm Beach in Paros
In order to reach this beach, we suggest you use a GPS. Initially you drive towards Pounda port but at some point you need to turn to a dirt road. Be cautious here because it fits only one car but it is a two way road. Afterwards, driving becomes easier. As you can understand, to get to Palm Beach you will need your own mean of transport.
